Rolling

Liza rolled over today! I mentioned that to my sister Hannah and she told me that, while she was sure that is was big news, it sure didn't sound very exciting. In the background I could hear my mom going crazy with excitement over her granddaughter rolling over. It was quite a contrast.

Here is a picture of Liza from a few weeks ago. It's a great picture of a very beautiful baby.

And here is a picture of her from tonight.

A happy Liza makes a happy day!

This morning Liza was so happy in her bouncer! She used to hate it and only wanted to be in there for a little bit, but now she'll spend an hour in it sometimes! I hate to just leave her in there that long but she seems so happy and well it gives me a chance to get some things accomplished. Today while she was in it we didn't get anything accomplished at all. We just stared and smiled. :-)

Heidi has not been very well behaved since we got back from our trip to NC. She's been getting into things that she's not supposed to be getting into and not really listening to what we tell her as much as she did before. It's REALLY frustrating but we still like her. Jordan is supposed to see about some obedience training for her soon.

Liza went to the Dr. yesterday and they said that she's doing great! She's 13lbs. 12oz. and 24.5" long... both of these measurements are off the charts for an 11 week old. The doctor told me to be sure to give Liza plenty of "belly time." I hate doing it! She cries so much when I put her on her belly but I know that it's good for her. It helps her build up the muscles that she'll need to crawl and all that. I'll just have to get over her fussing.

Liza has recently discovered that she likes to suck on her thumb. She prefers it to her pacifier now.

Gwowls

Here is another picture from a few weeks ago. This is Gwowls--Liza's pet lion.

Funny story about Gwowls (who apparently is a male lion, despite that fact that he is pink): Liza had been "playing" with Gwowls for a few days when Sarah asked me to get him from Liza's room. That didn't make any sense because I couldn't figure out what she was asking for. I thought to myself, "It sounds like she's saying 'gwowls,' what in the world does that mean?"

Well, it was funny to me.

Today's blog post is a puzzle.

What is this and what does it have to do with me running around the house naked?

back in NM

Well, Sarah and I spent a wonderfully relaxing 17 days in North Carolina (and Virginia (and yes, a few hours in South Carolina too)), and now we're back.

Happy New Year!
